There’s this guy. His name is Shigeru Miyamoto and he looks like this…

Well before you think anything otherwise. I don’t know him. I’ll never meet him and i wouldn’t know what to say to him if i did, but he’s had as much influence on me as anyone else. ever.

He designed Donkey Kong. and from that he designed Mushroom Kingdom, complete with Mario, Yoshi and all. Then he designed the Legend of Zelda, Produced Pokemon Red/Blue and Star Fox and stole my childhood at the same time. I don’t know if i want it back or not, because i don’t know any different from it. There’s lots of people in the same spot.

I’m doing an assignment on him for Uni. And i found irony. Not Alanis Morissette irony. REAL irony.

See Miyamoto credits his awesome imagination to the time he spent exploring Sonobe (his home town) as a kid. He found a cave and whatever. he liked the river and the trees and stuff. Its not cool that he got to enjoy that and we are all kept inside as a result of his creative genius.

I want to write a letter. i really do. But by the time it gets to him i wont be angry anymore.

Who could stay angry at that face?
